You might decide that you want bright curtains on your bathroom windows instead of blinds. If possible, get a swatch of the material you are thinking of using, and hold it up in front of the window. Are you able to see through the fabric when it's sunny outside? Of course, you can always have them lined, but the extra cost of lining them is something you need to consider before committing to buy.

Walls and ceilings should be kept as light as possible, by contrast (but still bright) colors on the edge and face the door. Bath rugs, shower curtains and window treatments also should be kept light, with patterns or designs that cover the same color from the palette.
