Window Graphics - Are They Profitable For Small Businesses?

One question we must raise as small business owners is if what we are doing actually profitable for our company? I don't believe that everything in this world is all about profit, but when it comes to expanding and growing a small business, we do need to think in terms of profit and return on investment. There's many different ways to advertise. We can see all kinds of brand new ways of advertising popping up all over the place. People are offering advertising online, on their pizza boxes, and even on their bicycles.
The world of advertising is only continuing to grow and evolve in more creative ways. But even though it may be evolving and growing, it doesn't mean we should immediately stop using what works. Some people are drawn entirely to the internet, which is great, but they forget that internet takes time to start getting good results. We need to remember that there's many other means of advertising that can be done in the meantime, such as rear window graphics, business window graphics or vehicle graphics.
Business windows are a great way to use open space as another form of signage. Most cities have strict guidelines as to what types of signage and how much signage can be on any given building. But one form of signage that is usually able to be used without permits or city requirements is window graphics. Imagine that you have a blank open window, and that you think it's great to leave it open so people can see that there's more people in your store which often helps to draw more people in, which is a very reasonable idea. But what happens when there's only one, or 0 people in your store, and people see that?
There's many times when there's very few people in a single store at any given time. Now imagine you decided to put a beautiful attractive design with pictures, complimentary colors, and some strong words on those windows, organized in a way that draws peoples attention to see your store, in that case you wouldn't have to worry about people seeing an empty store, all they see is a bright and attractive window that pulls them in. This is only one of the many benefits of window graphics.
Not only are window graphics an excellent form of advertising on business windows, but they're also an excellent form of advertising on vehicle windows. Fleet trucks and vehicle graphics are very popular for medium businesses. When a vehicle drives over 30,000 miles per year, it is a potentially profitable moving billboard. Just putting a fleet wrap or custom vehicle graphics on that van or truck has the power to potentially help that business grow exponentially over the years.
But what about small businesses? I mean, can they really afford vehicle graphics. The short and simple answer is "Yes." Window graphics can range from something as simple as a website address applied to the back window for about $20. Granted, for a full wrap you're looking anywhere between $3500 and up, but if that can last you for 3-7 years, and during that time you have the potential of millions of people seeing your advertisement, it's pretty fair to say it would be well worth it!
Now going with rear window graphics might even be a better solution for small business owners. Designing a rear window perforated vinyl marketing piece and having it applied to the rear window if your vehicles is not only affordable, but a great way to advertise your business.
Whichever type of window graphics you're considering, don't wait around for too long deciding if they're right for you. If you have a window, and you have a business, they're definitely right for you!
